Reviews and word of mouth is probably the best way to get information about credit cards.  Either ask around to friends or relatives or simply go online and do a search engine search on the particular credit card you want to apply for.  You will usually find a lot of in depth information on what people think of that particular card.  If there are problems with it, believe me, you’ll find out all about it online.
