When looking to save money on just about anything in life, did you know that a simple credit card can help you save up to 10% on all of your purchases?  It’s true and all it takes from you is a swipe and responsibility with your credit card.

Before I show you how much you can save and with what categories, I want you to keep in mind that you need to pay your bill off in full each month so that you can avoid the interest rates.  Now that you know of this, I’m going to show you some categories in which you can save money.

Groceries:  On just about every cash back card you get, you’re going to get a bonus for purchasing groceries.  Depending on the card, you can get anywhere from 3x to 5x the points or cash back.

Gasoline:  Gasoline is a big one if you can get a bonus on your card.  Since most of us fill up with gas, this is a great way to get a bonus every time we fill up at the tank.

Auto related:  Like gasoline, you’ll find that some cards will give you a multiplier bonus for purchasing anything auto related.  From parts to labor, keep your eyes peeled for this one.

Restaurants:  If you like to eat out a lot, look for a card that will reward you for eating at particular places.  Usually, it’s for just about everything, including fast food.

Books / Music:  Another hot category is books and music.  Here, if you find yourself buying a lot of books, you can save money as well.  This is a great way to save as well.

Every cash back card varies but the more multipliers you can get, the better your card is going to be.   Look at the categories above and see which one fits your spending habits.  The more points and cash back you can get, the better it is for you and your spending!
