American women invented shopping! It is said that no one shops like an American lady. “She shops till she drops” is one of the many slogans put out about her along with “she always has a method to her shopping madness”. Women usually went window shopping before making a purchase. They could spend hours just looking at items in the store front windows. This gave them the chance to see the latest fashions before they made a purchase. Today things have changed drastically for the shopper as they no longer have time to just browse. Most shoppers today be it women or men normally know what they want and go get it. The newspapers and mailers often send out to the public notices about sales and bargains. The television ads tempt many people into buying a product if they want it or not but shopping has changed the way we look at our budget.
One of the main concerns is how to get an item at a discounted rate or get some money back. Everyone wants a bargain now a days and the merchant is very much aware of this that is why they put out so many ads utilizing coupons and rebates. Coupons and rebates often tempt the shopper into coming to the merchant’s store. Today men shop as much as women it is no longer just the American women who shops but it is everyone and everywhere. The world is a very small place when it comes to shopping and finding bargains. The internet plays a very exciting role in buying products for the consumer. Many consumers depend on getting a product at a better rate saving on the cost of shipping.
Just recently I moved into my own little cottage and had to buy a new dishwasher. I called several stores and found that at this time no bargains were being offered. I had checked the Sunday newspaper and to my astonishment no savings coupons there either. Since I am an avid user of the internet I thought why not a search for a small apartment size dishwasher does. Yes, it came up and I found a company that had them on sale saving me over $100 and if I ordered one on a Tuesday I got it shipped for free. I not only saved on the initial cost but I did not have to pay to get it brought to me or set up. It arrived within a few days after my order was placed. I actually ordered it on Tuesday and got it on a Friday this was better delivery than my local department store. I saved money from the rebate coupon that was on the internet. I saved money from the company by ordering it on a Tuesday. I put about $155.00 cash back in my pocket.
