When I say “get paid to shop”, I’m not talking about going out, and getting paid per the hour, but rather, how you can get money back while you go out. It’s almost like you’re getting paid to shop.
Use a credit or debit card that offers rebates
Since most people have to buy a certain amount of things anyway, why not get money back from your purchases? You can do this by using a credit card or debit card that offers cash rebates. Discover was one of the first that offered cash back on purchases, but now a lot of cards do. For example, if you have a PayPal credit card you can get 2% cash back on all of your purchases. If you have their debit card you can get 1% of your purchases back in cash.
Buy items with mail in rebates
A lot of items being advertised come with mail in rebates. While there’s a huge variety of products that are like this, cellular phones are a good example. When you are getting a new plan or extending an old plan, many providers like Sprint will let you send in for a cash rebate, often making your phone free. Rebates are often offered with consumer electronics items as well. While a lot of people don’t bother going to the trouble to fill out rebate forms, you should go ahead and mail it in. Most of the times it takes a few weeks to get that money back, but it’s still money!
Get some Bing cash
The new search engine Bing has this program called Bing Cash. If you visit retailers that are on their list by clicking the links on Bing Shopping, you can get free money back! There’s a large number of online stores that offer Bing Cash, so when you go over to the Bing Shopping page, check the cash back stores section and you can see who they all are and how much cash back you will get.
